2016: A Year in Review

2016 has been another exciting year of growth at Glass Ink Media. We welcomed a number of new clients in new industries, and continued to expand our relationships with old friends. Below are just a few of the launched projects that kept us busy this year.

3Doodler Create

The 3Doodler team has had a busy year, and it’s been wonderful to continue to produce new content for their products. When they launched the 3Doodler Create, a new and improved 3D printing pen, we were tasked with creating a 30-second commercial to show 3Doodler Create in use in a variety of different lifestyle scenarios. We had a blast working on this project and coming up with fun and creative scenes that showed how the pen is a great tool for people from all walks of life:

Under Armour Sport Wireless Heart Rate

It was exciting to work with two popular and highly respected brands on a video for Under Armour Sport Wireless Heart Rate headphones. The headphones are a product of a partnership between the Baltimore-based Under Armour and the Connecticut-based JBL. For the launch of the headphones, we filmed four athletes using the headphone during their workout at Under Armour’s headquarters in Baltimore, which includes a beautiful, state-of-the-art gym:

Harman Audio Augmented Reality

Harman International, the parent company of many great audio brands including JBL, AKG, and Harmon Kardon asked us to conceptualize and produce content for a new technology called Audio Augmented Reality. This was an really interesting project for us to conceptualize and produce:

Dizmo

The Switzerland-based company Dizmo enlisted us to conceptualize and produce a short film that showed how their software could be used in a professional setting to improve team collaboration and project workflows. We had a lot of fun developing the story of a design firm using Dizmo to create a book cover for an unusual new novel:

Betterspot Crowdfunding

We are frequently asked to create crowdfunding videos for startups to launch their awesome new technologies. This year was no exception. Betternet Technologies, a company based in Vancouver, Canada, partnered with us to message, conceptualize, and produce a creative crowdfunding video for their new VPN router, Betterspot. The campaign was a big success, raising $270k.

Boston Conservatory at Berklee

Boston Conservatory needed a video to give prospective opera students a window into the school’s renowned voice program. Speaking with students and faculty, we produced a short video that captures their incredible skills and the unique learning environment offered by Boston Conservatory:

Vimble

The Hong Kong-based company, Deltron Intelligence Technology, asked us to message, conceptualize and produce two videos this year for their new smartphone video gimbal, called Vimble. The first video was a product intro showing how Vimble stabilizes the camera on your smartphone using a set of motors, and enables professional camera setting controls of your smartphone camera:

The second video we created for them at the end of 2016 introduced their second generation Vimble S to the crowdfunding community. The Kickstarter campaign was a huge success and exceeded their $30k goal by raising more than $150k:
