Meet Tony

For the past few months, we’ve been working on a video for Twine Health, a startup located in Cambridge, MA. Twine Health is an innovative new platform that reimagines primary health care to emphasize doctor-patient collaboration and patient initiative in the management of chronic disease.

Health is a deeply personal subject and profoundly affects our relationships with family and friends. Because of this, we wanted to tell a story that would demonstrate how Twine Health can positively impact both the patient and the patient’s family. Tony’s story aims to do just that.

Tony’s character is based on case studies that Twine Health conducted while building their app, which helped us shape the video’s story thread. Affected by hypertension, he is a hard-working and busy mechanic close to retirement, who has had trouble balancing his health management with his work and personal life. With the intuitive and easy-to-use Twine app now available, Tony is able to play a proactive role in his health management, using a plan that he has tailored to fit his daily routine.

The video was unique for us in many ways — we were able to tap into our short film roots, while embracing some popular commercial production techniques. Our cast and crew were incredible to work with — it was a blast to have a bike mechanic on set to help Alyssa Mae Walsh (“Ellie”) actually build a bicycle. As always, the biggest challenge for us was keeping our story clear and engaging, while covering all the necessary points in 2 minutes or less.
